Investigative Division |
 |
The Investigative Division's primary goal is to improve the quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors to the township by conducting thorough follow-up investigations aimed at the detection, arrest, and conviction of offenders, for both crimes against persons and property. In furtherance of this goal, the division is broken down into three (3) functional investigative units; Detective Bureau, Juvenile Bureau and Identification Bureau.
In addition to the investigative units, there are two functional support units that contribute to the department's philosophy of crime prevention: D.A.R.E. and the School Resource Officer (S.R.O.) Program. The success of the Investigative Division is dependent upon the acceptance that the total is greater than the sum of its parts. This cooperative spirit enhances the capability of all members of the division while recognizing that the differences inherent in modern police work fortifies, rather than detracts from, the department's overall mission.
