Kohl's Department Store

Thirty three year old Jacek Malik, of South Amboy, was arrested by police on Tuesday, 1/23/07 for shoplifting and possession of stolen property. The suspect was detained by loss prevention officers from Kohl’s Department Store for hiding clothing items valued at $186 under his coat and attempting to leave the store without paying. When police officers arrived at the scene they discovered that Malik also possessed clothing articles valued at $119 stolen from The Sports Authority. Malik was arrested and charged with shoplifting and possession of stolen property. He was released with a court date.
