Police responded to a Danbury Court residence on a report of juveniles throwing objects at the residence. Upon arrival, Patrolman Maria Herrera found several occupants in the residence engaged in a loud verbal dispute. While investigating the incident, 43 year-old Abeer Elkady became irate and began yelling at the officer and ordering her out of the residence. When the officer attempted to guide Ms. Elkady to a seat in an effort to calm her down, Elkady slapped at the officer’s hand. Ms. Elkady was advised that she was under arrest and struggled with officers as they handcuffed her. Ms. Elkady was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She was released with a court date.
